Nagpur: Atul Atra, 43, an unemployed engineer, was arrested for allegedly trying to inhibit his 12-year-old daughter under the influence of liquor, at Chakradhar Nagar in the old subharar layout on Sunday.
The girl was saved by other family members who then rushed to the hospital.
Atkar, who has been unemployed since 2018, has been abandoned by his wife.
Studied, Atkar had tried to kill his older daughter too in the past.
Violations of murder attempts were registered against Atkar at the Hudeshwar police station.
Train employees, Scrap dealers were arrested for theft of wire force railroad protection (RPF), South East Central Railway, had captured Santosh Nagpure train employees for stealing around 99 kg of copper wire from the Kalamna Depot on Sunday.
Apart from Nagpure, the Sahu Scrap Callu dealer has also been arrested to buy a stolen property.
The RPF source stated that Nagpure claimed to steal a scrap wire bundle from stock in Kalamna after office hours.
The large quantity of stolen wire also recovers from his residence.
The lighting strike killed Herdsman, five Herdsman Goals Dalsingh Rathod was killed along with five of his goats in a lighting strike near Raipur Village at Hingna Taluka on Monday.
Rathod and dead goats were found behind Hanuman Nagar’s slum.
The police said Rathod had taken a goat for grazing on the banks of the Nag river when lightning hit.
His family members had looked for him because he didn’t return home.
His body was found during search.
Hingna police have registered cases of unintentional deaths.
