Jaipur: Chief Minister of Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said the medical and health department must ensure 100% vaccination of people 18 years and above in the state.
He said that the vaccine was the key to the protection of Corona and in such situations, vaccination campaigns must be given the top priority.
Gehlot held a high review of Covid infection status.
He said in the districts where there was a need to accelerate vaccination, people must be motivated to provide vaccines with the assistance of public representatives and voluntary organizations.
Gehlot also reviewed the status of the new omicron variant in the state.
He asked officials to maintain vigilance to ensure that this variant did not spread in the state.
The more RPCR tests must be done for passengers coming from other countries at the airport.
He said patients who were infected with omicrons in the state did not have serious symptoms that require oxygen, ICU or ventilator.
Minister of Medical and Health Parsadilal Meena said separate isolation wards have been established in medical colleges and district hospitals for patient care infected by omicron.
Training has also been given to medical officers to the district level regarding the treatment protocol.
