Coimbatore: City Health Officer (CHO) Coimbatore Corporation has warned the contractor to cancel their license if the sanitation workers appointed by them do not wear protective equipment while on duty.

Satish Kumar wrote a letter to contractors to order contractors to give boots, cut shoes, gloves, and reflective jackets.
He also instructed them to provide masks and sanitisers.
“The contractor will face actions if they do not comply with instructions.
If they do not obey even after warnings, their contracts will be canceled,” he said.
He also instructed them to take steps so that workers could receive SMS on ESI and PF reductions from their health wages.
