Ensure subtle and troublesome voter experience: CEO head polls head before the assembly poll

New Delhi: Ahead of the publication of the Revised Electoral Roll with January 1, 2022 as a reference date, the Head of Commissioner Sushil Chandra on Monday asked the election officer from all states and the United States to ensure the recovery of the application was delayed in connection with voter registration.
Also, with the EC preparing to conduct a assembly poll in five states early next year, Chandra reaffirmed the needs of the CEO to ensure a smooth and disturbed-free voter experience in the TPS.
At the meeting with the head of the electoral state organized by EC on Monday, Chandra said new initiatives and best practices adopted by different CEOs for polling related activities must be disseminated regularly through the media, to increase reach.
He asked the CEO to ensure that the selection rolls of free from errors and voting stations were easily accessible by people with disabilities, in addition to instructing them to interact regularly with political parties to improve their complaints.
Commissioner Election Rajiv Kumar reminded the CEO that the legal framework and electoral regulations were quite strong, and emphasized that the implementation of EC instructions in the field was very important.
He said the CEO needed innovative, more active and learned from the best practices and challenges of each other.
Commissioner of the Election of Anup Chandra Pandey emphasized the capacity of the capacity of the Booth level (BLO) officer and called for the involvement of various stakeholders and officials in the field for severeeps & year activities, including non-election periods.
EC Secretary General of Umesh Sinha in his speech stated that Monday’s Conference with the CEO was being held to understand their field level function, coordination with different stakeholders and the implementation of commission instructions.
EC on Monday released the ‘compendium case in the election law’ and ‘information booklet for voters.
The second booklet contains end to end information which includes voter registration, postal elections, sound casting through EVM-VVPat & various other facilities.
The conference was attended by, besides CEO, AD Senior, DEC, DG and other senior officers from the Commission.
One-day review meeting separately with all state polls are also scheduled for ECI on Tuesday.
