Varanasi: With the increasing case of Coronavirus infection, the number of active Covid-19 cases crossed a 3,000 mark in the Varanasi district on Thursday.
According to a daily medical bulletin, 515 people were tested positive for Covid-19, increasing the number of active casts to 3,048 in the district on Thursday while 25 patients in house isolation were declared cured.
The 5.557 test results were received, while 6,150 samples were collected on Thursday.
In Chandauli, 75 people included 20 women and four boys who were tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, increasing the calculation of active cases to 307.
Only one patient was declared recovered in this district, where 2,330 samples were collected in the district Thursday Cases up to 136 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, District Judge Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma issued a tight warning to academic institutions on weakness in vaccination drives for children in the age group 15-18 years.
