PANAJI: Former Congress spokesman and Social Activist Swati Kerkar joined all the Indian Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Friday along with former members of the BJP Cave Mahila Morcha Executive Committee Dikha Talavanekar and Jayesh Shetgaonkar.
TMC also opened his party office in the capital city coinciding with the opportunity to benefit Vijaya Dashami.
Former Chief Minister of Goa Luizinho Faleiro said that the entry of TMC to assembly of 2022 Exlection Fray had shook BJP and Congress.
“The other party was not attacked, only TMC was attacked.
TMC poster was lowered, not the poster of other political parties.
The actual opposition is TMC and no one else.
We are street fighters,” said Faleiro.
Kerkar, Princess Freedom Fighter Sridhar Kerkar, was previously associated with the AAM AADMI party.
He said that he joined TMC as Congress and AAP did not give him a platform to make independent decisions for Goa people.
“I am very happy TMC, led by Mamata Banerjee, has decided to come to Goa.
He is a fiery leader who has placed women’s empowerment on his agenda.
I have full confidence in his leadership,” Kkar said.
