Environmental level action plans get a nod of the council

Thiruvananthapuram: After the Zika outbreak in the city, a special council meeting held here on Tuesday approved an environmental level action plan to check the spread.
Each ward will be divided into seven blocks and team 10 members will be deployed to visit homes and institutions for reducing the source level.
A register must be maintained where the source level reduction report will be recorded.
Seven blocks will be borne in a week.
Health Inspector and Junior Health Inspector must identify the owner of the plot with grass and excessive growing notifications to be served by those people.
Mosquito breeding spots will be identified and eradication measures must be carried out in used shops, tire repair stores stabbed, soft coconut sellers and the like, the action plan stated.
