Eou Raids on Patna Sho produces RS 2.5CR assets

Patna: The Economic Violation Unit (Eou) of the State Police on Saturday raided four locations in Patna and suggestions that were excavated by disproportionate assets (DA) worth at least Rs 2.5 Crore were collected by the Jakkanpur Police Station Sharh Kamlesh Prasad Sharma.
In accordance with Eou source, Rs 92.8 Lakh found stored in Bank Sharma and his wife’s account.
He joined police service as a sub-inspector in 1994 and at this time was an inspector ranking officer.
The raids were carried out at the office-cum-cum-residence of Sharma at the Jamkankankur police station in the city, Flat Number 104 at Shreya Apartment, Flat Number 401 at Orchid Apartment (both at Ara Garden Road under the airport police station area) and at his father’s residence in his father Maker in the district suggestion.
Sharma has shown RS31.37 lakh as a whole as the deed value of two flats in Ara Garden, but Eou Sleuths estimates that the two properties have been indicated by undervalued and their market prices are expected to be above RS1 Crore.
Estimates of Sharma’s income from all sources of income have been calculated at RS1.88 Crore and the expenditure comes around RS1.57 Crore.
Eou source said passbook and other documents showing 11 bank accounts on behalf of Sharma and his wife were found.
The source said the preliminary investigation began after receiving complaints about disproportionate assets and income.
The kasing was registered on Friday before Eou received a search warrant issued by the court against him.
Eou Adg Nayyar Hasnain Khan said it was not yet known how much money was stored Sharma in 11 bank accounts, which was revealed after the raid.
“The bank account has been frozen on Eou’s request.
Sharma has notified Eou about one bank locker, but we suspect more about which information will be collected from the bank.
All of this will bring Da Sharma far more than RS2.5 Crore at this time,” Khan said.
This is the eighth case of Eou since August this year.
Seven of these cases were related to actions against illegal sand mining and transportation in the state.
