CMC officials were negotiated with the company and completed a contract of 9.84% higher, allegedly in complaints.
Responsible for EOW PI Pravinkumar Patil confirmed investigations were being carried out into alleged corruption.
“We have started recording the statement concerned.
EOW will investigate and if the substance is found in complaints, the details will be shared with the city corporation so that the official can continue to submit formal FIR,” he said.
Tiwari claims that he has given a statement to EOW.
Other related people are also being called, he said.
He emitted the belief that EOW would explore corruption and guilty of being punished.
