EPL: United are held by Southampton as the frustrating season continues

Manchester (UK): Manchester United’s frustrating season continued when they were arrested because of a 1-1 draw which was disappointing at home to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.
United started brightly, creating a few early openings before Sancho’s Jadon was at the end of Marcus Rashford’s low cross to fire the host in front of the 21st minute – England’s first goal at Old Trafford.
However, United, just as they did against Burnley in the middle of the week, went down after scoring goals and once again admitted earlier in the second half, when Scotland International Che Adams was located in the 48th minute to equalize.
Saints were justting two major opportunities to complete the turnaround as Old Trafford fans grow increasingly frustrated about other games slipping from their team’s hands.
Cristiano Ronaldo thought he had scored the final winner for United, only for close-range attacks to be ruled out for offside.
Ronaldo’s forward veteran now failed to score in his last six appearances in all competitions.
The last time he ran a longer goal at the club level was seven matches in December 2008 and January 2009.
Lottery means United remain fifth in the position of 40 points from 24 matches played, 20 points adrift of Manchester City leaders, while the saints stretched unbeatable They became four in all competitions to stay 10.
United suffered with severe profligations in front of the goal lately.
Before Southampton’s visit, they had wasted 70 shots on goal in the previous three matches in all competitions, scored only three times.
Ronaldo, returned to XI early after being filled with Burnley, should score after rounding the Fraser Forster goalkeeper keeper, but Romain Perraud returned to the block.
Sancho then had Ronaldo and Rashford to the right when United went bankrupt in number, but the 21-year-old was chosen to go alone, force saving Forster.
Opportunities continued to come, with Sancho made a count on the far post after Bruno Fernandes had set Rashford free on the right.
The England Forward chose Sancho behind the post, and he couldn’t miss it.
From there, to the interval, all of them are the saints, with Stuart Armstrong twice as close before the perraud was rejected by a good rescue by United goalkeeper David De Gea.
After conceding two minutes after the break at Burnley, it was Déjà Vu for United fans when Adams perforated at the sixth league goal house at the level this season.
Against the team they defeated 9-0 last season in this fixture – equaling the record for the biggest victory of the Premier League – United could not find a way through, and actually spent most of the second half survive.
Pick of De Gea saved the goalkeeper from Broja Armando who was impressive, with United forced to stay at the time when they failed to make a breakthrough at the other end.
The final whistle was greeted by boos from all over the coach while Ralf Rangnick struggled to reverse things.
United have an average of fewer goals per match under Germany than they have under other managers in the history of the Premier League.
