Bengaluru: Almost the days before the Tokyo Olympics opened, India Mirza’s riding foeaad had decided to replace his horse, preferring to go with Seigneur Medicott, who helped him win two silver medals at the 2018 Asian Games, as his Ekim partner.
Previously, Mirza had announced that he would take his horse ‘Dajara 4’ to the Tokyo match.
“Seigneur Medicott, with love is known as ‘Micky’, helping Mirza win two silver in Asian matches and they both share a strong emotional relationship with each other,” said the media release issued by Mirza.
“Initially, Fouad chose Dajara 4 for the Olympics but in the last few weeks that were tiring and practicing, Mirza felt that Dajara 4 had experienced a lot of pressure.
It encourages changes to the final entry with the Tokyo Olympics for the Tokyo Olympics when the horse moves better.” According to Release, Seigneur Medicott has cleaned Quarantine in Aachen (Germany) and ride a flight to Tokyo at midnight.
The horse will also be accompanied by Johanna Tree (groom), Dr.
Grigorios Maleas (veterinarian) and Veronica Sinz (physiotherapist), he added.
Mirza will start his campaign at the exhibition starting July 29, with the first horse inspection of the event at 6 am.
