Hollywood: Fire oppression equipment exploded at the South Florida casino Monday morning when the crew did maintenance work, causing six people to be hospitalized and 20 others to be treated at the scene, officials said.
None of the injuries at Seminole Classic Casino Hollywood who threatened the life, the saving of Hollywood fire to news outlets.
Contract workers do routine services on the building fire suppressing system when a gas cylinder broke out, said Seminol spokesman Gary Bitner.
The explosion occurred on the second floor in an area that was inaccessible to the public, but the debris flew across the main floor of the casino, the fire official said.
Bitner estimates that around 100 employees and guests have been in the building.
Hollywood and Seminole officials are investigating the cause of the explosion.
They don’t say when the casino can be reopened.
The building is located about half a mile south (0.8 kilometers) newer and larger and larger and larger Hard Rock Seminole, which featured a landmark building.
