Equipped with POS machines, cops Require fines in Electronic mode

VADODARA: Caught flouting traffic rules? Too bad, since you will not have the ability to dodge punishment with”not taking sufficient money” alibi too! Currently, city authorities have established an internet payment method wherein taxpayers are going to have the ability to cover penalties digitally.
For this, traffic cops have begun collecting payment via point of sale (POS) machines in Saturday.
“The concept would be to bring in greater transparency within the computer system.
Additionally, it is going to make punishment payment simpler for the taxpayers in addition to the authorities,” explained Shamsher Singh, town police commissioner.
Traffic cops are allotted 120 POS machines which will cover roughly 60 unique points in town.
So,’no money’ reasons wreck about the plastic faces of debit card, charge card or even mobile charge programs.
“Gradually we’ll eliminate all of the challan books and utilize the POS machines to produce challans and provide receipts also.
The digitisation can help us maintain a list of all such penalties,” Singh added.
The traffic cops are trained to work with the POS machines and problem challans fast.
The cash accumulated from online trades will be deposited into the bank accounts of traffic authorities.
