BHUBANESWAR/BALANGIR: It required the authorities hours to finish a hostage situation and detain that a love-lorn armed army, who had been holed up at a home in Balangir city on Tuesday morning.
After regaining three hostages of a household, the authorities had to test many choices before yanking him in a corner of the home.
The police group had a narrow escape while negotiating, and that the hostage taker fired three shots in the authorities.
None has been hurt.
The youth recognized as Bikram Panda, 28 barged into a home at Shantipada neighborhood at the western Odisha city at approximately 9 am brandishing a country-made pistol.
Maintaining the 3 members of their household in pistol point, ” he maintained quizzing to a woman he stated was the home owner’s niece.
The three were able to escape and also got them locked in a different area.
Authorities said that the youth had been hell bent upon visiting the home owner’s niece, who he had been in love .
He had been not threatening to kill self too.
“We’ve got a call in the relatives, who had been trapped in the home an armed gunman had entered their home.
A group hurried to the place and started searching for alternatives to save the relatives.
Following his rescue, it was hard for all of us to nab the childhood without hurting him because he had been using a pistol,” said SP (Balangir) Nitin Kusalkar.
The SP further stated miscreant had restricted himself at the hallway of the first floor.
“I, followed by IIC of city police station along with my safety staff, started engaging and speaking with him.
I gave my debut.
He had been averse to us in closeness to him because I could odor from his behavior.
Unexpectedly, he began making sterile fire after the next 3 times.
Because it turned out to be a country-made pistol, we pounced on him by splitting open the doorway until he can load the fourth thing,” inserted the SP.
The SP before going into action , attempted to attract Bikram’s buddies parents to speak to him all such attempts failed.
After convicted, Bikram has been brought to the police station for interrogation.
Law enforcement will also probe where he purchased the pistol out of and just how long he was intending.
Bikram, sources said, has been in love with the woman, who operates at a government medical school in town, for last several years.
The home, that Bikram picked for hostage play is the woman’s uncle.
Bikram is owner of the online cafe.
“I never watched the childhood before within this field.
After he barged into the home and kept my child at gunpoint, I have scared.
Due to my presence of mind, we conducted in to security,” explained the rescued dwelling proprietor.
