New York: Former Police Eric Adams won the election of New York Mayor on Tuesday, according to the US network and unofficial results showing it ahead of the rival of Republic of Curtis Sliwa.
NBC, CBS and New York 1 summoned the race for Adams as soon as the poll closed at 9:00 (0100 GMT Wednesday), meaning he would be only the second African who led the largest city in America.
Unofficial results released by the New York City Election Board projected that Adams would win more than 70 percent of the vote.
