Thiruvananthapuram: Murder inmates who fled the Poojapura center prison more than 10 days ago gave up before the court on Saturday.
Jahir Hussain who fugitles turned himself in front of the additional judge’s court around 12:30 a.m.
on Saturday.
He was accompanied by his wife and son.
The judge then returned him for Judicial custody and sent him to prison.
Hussain told the court that he escaped from prison to meet his family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
He explained that it was his desire to meet his family, which he had not seen in a very long time, which made him risk escaping from prison.
The Poojapura police station officer, who was looking for a fugitive, was also present at the court when the judge released him.
The police said they would submit an application before the court on Monday searched for his rights to be interrogated to find out how he was running around, how he reached Chennai, and also the situation that took him to return and turn himself before the law.
Jagir Hussain had escaped from prison on September 7 when he was expelled from the maximum covered area that accommodated the prison block to work in the electrical laundry unit from prison located in a relatively low prison area.
Housing Hussain serves a life sentence for the next murder and robbery he committed in 2004.
In July 2004, Hussain killed his far relatives of Shamsuddeen who worked for a valuable stone dealer in the city.
He strangled the victim to death with the help of his friends Jarook and was put to be sleepy with a valuable Rs 5 Lakh Batu.
Even though he was immediately arrested, he escaped a year later after going out with a guarantee.
Then, the court continued the trial of Jarook his hand, and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
In 2009, the police arrested Jagir Hussain from where his female friend was in Chennai.
His trial began in 2017 and he was punished in the same year.
