CHENNAI: The Indian Institute of Technology – Guwahati (IITG) is set to host the 24th edition of its yearly techno-management festival Techniche, also there’ll be a distinctive esports festival this moment.
Titled”Funniche”, the esports festival will probably be a portion of the most important festival in cooperation with all the Esports Federation of India (ESFI). Even though the event will likely be IITG’s maiden expertise to interact with esports, the episode is scheduled in June 1-14.
The occasion will observe popular esports games such as Valorant, Rocket League being played with the players and internet chess also.

“The most important motive of adding esports would be to raise the morale of their smart young minds and also to create the civilization of esports one of our pupils,” states Chivukula V Sastri, chairman of Technical Board, IIT-Guwahati.
“We plan to improve the Indian esports ecosystem by encouraging, promoting and teaching the younger generation. Who knows we can get a potential champ among those IIT students,” Lokesh Suji, manager, ESFI.
