Hyderabad: The upside migration of leaders from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has forced the Boss of the Safron Party in thinking about the re-construction of their strategies in Hyderabad and larger Telangana.
After leading leaders such as Peddi Reddy, Mothkupalli Narsimhulu and Erra Shekhar came out of BJP, the latest to join the bandwagon was the former Minister and Mla Mla Boda Janardhan, who tended to join the Congress soon.
Party rivals use different strategies for BJP dents.
The powerful TRS has tried to seduce the BJP leaders into his fold after suffering a seristan in the hands of the Safron Party at the GHMC Election-2020.
New TPCC President Revanth Reddy used his old connection with former TDP leaders who joined BJP to take them to Congress.
Revanth, who was previously with TDP before joining Congress, has worked with many TDP leaders who have joined BJP.
Revanth is in a good requirement even with the BJP leader as TDP-BJP has opposed several elections as an alliance in GHMC and in the state.
What had sent alarm bells was that some of the second and third BJP leaders from Hyderabad were bigger and Ranga Reddy reportedly contacted Revanth and his new team.
Factors of concern for BJP more than anything is that those who plan to leave a party are now looking at Congress, its main rivals at the national level.
Also, BJP has a strong presence in the GHMC area and the suburbs and some time ago is projected as the main political force after his appearance in Dubbak and GHMC-polling.
However, his failure to maintain the MLC Hyderabad-Ranga reddy-mahbubnagar seat, and poor performance in the MLC Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam constituency and Nagarjuna Sagar by-polls have asked questions about their growth in the state capital and also in the country’s interior.
Speaking to Toi, Boda Janardhan said there were several leaders from Adilabad, Hanamkonda, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Greater Hyderabad who were not interested in staying at BJP.
“We joined BJP on different occasions to serve people.
But it does not take advantage of our services or there is a scope of growth because the party seems to be more interested in the promotion of the Hindutva ideology,” Janardhan said.
“There are many leaders who join BJP from other parties and are not happy now.
Many of them might stop.” A senior BJP leader wiped their allegations who left the party.
Everyone who comes from other parties joins BJP with full knowledge of party hindutva ideology.
“They come for political opportunities and can depart for political opportunities,” said the leader.
Head of State Spokesman BJP Krishna Saagar Rao, said: “BJP is not worried about people who leave the party.
We are just worried about serving people and serving them well.”
