Pune: The Meteorology Department of India has reduced the rainforce of “very heavy to heavy” for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Kolhapur and Satara to “Heavy” Rain on July 30.
Now, warnings for heavy rain in isolated places are only limited to the front.
Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune (Ghats) and Satara (Ghats) for July 31, while Kolhapur has a light toil forecast for moderate days.
Mumbai and Thane now have heavy rain forecasts in remote places on July 30, and light until it rains as close to it afterwards.
Isolated places in Raigad and Ratnagiri have heavy rain predictions until August 1.
Offshore troughs from Maharashtra South Beach to North Kerala Beach do not get a lot of strength and the extent of its influence does not extend to the entire Maharashtra coastline.
Also, the west wind from the Arab Sea has not yet been.
The mantra which was realized in these districts (which previously put a very heavy rain warning after July 29) remained limited to only heavy rain.
Anupam Kashyapi, Head of the Weather Forecasting Division, IMD Pune told Tii, “The low-pressure area is characterized by both West West Gangetis and Bangladesh side side by side with cyclone circulation associated with troposphere levels to the top.
It is likely to move northwest in Jharkhand , South Bihar and the southern part of Uttar Pradesh for the next 48 hours.
The west wind also carries moisture to the country other than the presence of off-shore troughs from South Maharashtra Beach to North Kerala Beach.
These factors are likely to cause heavy rain in isolated places In some parts of Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra, including good rain at Ghats of Pune and Satara Regency for several days.
“Revised estimates are likely to help the districts affected by Maharashtra floods, say state officials, because of a very heavy rain spell here can put this area at risk once again.
