Mumbai: The Mumbai Esplanade Court on Monday sent Sachin Waze to the police custody of 14 days in connection with extortion cases.
He was in police custody from Mumbai Police Credit Branch for 14 days.
The extortion case was registered on July 23 against the Sachin Waze, former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh, and others at the Goregaon Police Station, and the investigation was handed over to the Crime Branch of Mumbai.
Singh has alleged that former Minister of Home Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh, who has been arrested by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), has enjoyed “malpractice” and asked Mumbai police officers suspended Sachin Waze to collect Hospital 100 crores every month.
Nia arrested Waze in March in connection with the investigation of the recovery of explosives from a car parked near Mukesh Ambani’s house in Mumbai.
Waze was accused of accusing an explosive vehicle near the Chairman of the Antilia Mukesh Ambani Reliance Industry in Mumbai on February 25.
Waze was also accused of making Mansukh Hiren’s murder, vehicle owners found to contain explosives outside the antilia.
Hiren was found dead on March 5 in Thane.
He was dismissed from service on May 2021.
