Thane: The court in Thane on Saturday extended the Suresh Pujari Gangster prisoner by three more days in the case of extortion.
Pujari, which was deported from the Philippines earlier this month, was detained by an anti-terrorism unit (ATS).
ATS was investigating a case where Pujari had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 Lakh from the owner of the wine shop this year in July and threatened to hit him if he failed to pay the number.
Subsequent casts are registered and transferred to ATS.
He was produced in the holiday court on Saturday and his prisoners were extended until December 28 for further investigation, said a police officer.
On the other hand, the crime branch on Saturday tends to take his rights.
“We have guaranteed the production of Pujari from the Special Mcoca Court and will take their foster rights on December 28,” said a police officer.
The crime branch will investigate its role in the case of shooting and extortion that is registered against Pujari and its fourth in the Kongaon police lattice.
The police said that the gang members had carefully planned an operation to create fear on the order of Suresh Pujari, who had called the owner of KN Park Hotel demanding Rs 25 Lakh as a ransom for the past two years for two years.
