Brussels: The European Union Ambassador has postponed a discussion to prepare for the new UE-US trade and technology council on September 29 as a protest for the Washington submarine agreement with Australia at the French burden, said two UE diplomats.
The public agenda document also shows talks between 27 EU messengers has been drawn but does not provide reasons.
Two diplomats said the European Commission, European Union executive had asked discussions to be postponed.
The first UE-US Board, announced on the transatlantic summit in June, will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The head of the European Commission Ursula von Der Leyen told CNN broadcasters that French care “was not acceptable.”
