ST PETERSBURG: Belgium conquer Finland 2-0 on Monday to complete of Euro 2021 Group B and then abandon the Finns third in the standings with just a slim likelihood of creating the final 16.
A second-half personal purpose by Finland goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky plus a hit by Romelu Lukaku procured Belgium’s third consecutive win.
Hradecky fumbled at a chunk which had struck on his left pole, providing Belgium a 1-0 lead in the 74th minute.
Lukaku added the minute following another effort disallowed was judged offside.
Belgium will confront among those third-placed sides in Seville on June 27.
Denmark, next in Group B following the 4-1 win over Russia on Monday, will perform Wales at Amsterdam on June 26.
Finland should wait to determine whether they qualify to the knockout stages.
