Euro 2021: Raheem Sterling Hails ‘Great Performance’ from England

LONDON: British hero Raheem Sterling praised the wishes of the team to rewrite history after defeating Germany in a knockout game in a big tournament for the first time since 1966 on Tuesday reaching the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.
Sterling opened the scoring with his third goal from the tournament before Harry Kane silenced para His criticism to seal a 2-0 win four minutes from time.
“It sounds good,” Sterling said at the end of the British Hoodo against Germany.
“We knew we had to file a big show to the very good side and we did it today.” Sterling hasn’t scored in a big tournament before the euro, but has become a standout player of his country on the last eight trip.
“Do it for your country is always special and it must be a special moment for me,” he added.
“I celebrated (the goal) then for half a second I thought let it offside.
I really glad it entered and we got a victory.”
