UEFA has no plans to substitute Wembley as sponsor arena of their Euro 2021 semi-finals and closing, European football’s governing body said, following Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi known for the closing to be transferred from Britain because of increasing COVID-19 cases.
The United Kingdom listed 10,633 fresh instances of COVID-19 along with five fatalities on Monday, carrying its toll on 4.63 million confirmed cases and 127,976 overall deaths, according to a Reuters tally.

“UEFA, the English FA and the English government are working closely together efficiently to phase the semi-finals and closing of EURO at Wembley and now there are not any plans to alter the place for all those matches,” a UEFA spokesperson said in an emailed statement on Tuesday.
Wembley is advised to sponsor the most semi-finals on July 7 and 6 prior to the July 11 closing.
Italian PM Draghi stated on Monday that he had been in favor of hosting the last in Rome, instead of in”a nation where illnesses are climbing rapidly”.
The Times newspaper reported Friday the Budapest was the alternate venue being contemplated if Wembley wasn’t able to accept traveling supporters.
