European flood tolls rose to 170 as a search for lost

The death toll in flooding in West Germany and Belgium rose at least 170 on Saturday after exploding and flash floods this week collapsed home and combed the road and electrical channels.
About 143 people died in flooding in Germany’s worst natural disasters in more than half a century.
It includes around 98 in the South Ahrweiler district of Cologne, according to the police.
Hundreds of people are still missing or unreachable because some areas cannot be accessed because of high water levels while communication in some places is still down.
Residents and business owners struggle to take pieces in battered cities.
“Everything is completely destroyed.
You don’t recognize the scenery,” said the wine shop owner in the city of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in Ahrweiler, against tears.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Erftstadt in the North Rhine-Westphalia state, where the disaster killed at least 43 people.
“We grieve with those who have lost friends, family members,” he said.
“Their fate distinguishes our hearts”.
Steinmeier said it would take weeks before full damage, it was expected to need several billion euros in reconstruction, can be assessed.
In Belgium, the victim rose to 27, according to the National Crisis Center, which coordinated the relief operation there.
It added that 103 people “lost or not affordable”.
PM Alexander de Croo and European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen visited several areas on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services in the Netherlands also remain vigilant because the river overflows threatening the southern province of Limburg.
Thousands of residents in this region have been evacuated in the last two days.
The Netherlands has so far reported that there are no casualties.
