Noida: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and private electricity mobility service provider together inaugurated the center of electric vehicle at the City Electronic Noida Metro Station on Thursday.
The 50 electric vehicle (EVS) fleet has been placed at the Metro station.
Under the initiative, tricycle electricity mobility as a service provider (EMAAS), Eto Motors, will offer the last mile connectivity to commuter.
Every vehicle can accommodate four passengers at once and travel up to 6 km.
Minimum rates have been repaired at Rs 10 to 2 km with a shared basis and RS 30 for single use.
For every kilometer after that, Rs 5 will be added to the basic rates.
They will ply from 6am to 11pm.
Mangu Singh, Managing Director, DRMC, marked the service from the Metro station by activating a smart electric vehicle charging station for tricycle.
“Along with the Metro Connectivity to Delhi and NCR people, we aim to overcome the last mile connectivity challenges faced by commuters by providing clean, safe and shared services.
This initiative will also play a major role in contributing to Delhi’s Government goals for register 5 lakh electric vehicles in 2024, “he said.
Officials said, at first, ETO vehicles would use smart charging stations and then, would be available to the public to charge two and three other wheels.
The charging point has 20 ports.
Wheeler three Eto takes three four hours to be fully charged.
The company plans to add 1,000 electric vehicles to the fleet in March 2022 which offers the last connectivity in Delhi-NCR, officials said.
Eto Motors, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, NK Rawal said: “We have not only created a comprehensive road map to build strong EV ecosystems by providing vehicles that are easy to operate, but also discuss the challenges of filling infrastructure to have sustainable mobility networks..” The number of metro stations with mile connectivity options like that in Delhi-NCR is now seven and at the end of this year, the plan is to cover 20 stations.
