Evated Highway serves to be completed by May

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of PWD Muhammed Riyas, who recently reviewed the work location on the highway in Kazhakootam to review the progress of work, has said that works will be completed in May next year.
After reviewing the works, the minister said about 73% of the work was completed so far.
Minister accompanied by MLA Kadakampally Surendran, Secretary of Pwd Anand Singh, Director of the Pradeep National Highway Authority Project, NHAI VK Upadhyay Project Engineer, Chief Engineer PWD Ashok Kumar and Local Ward Member Kavitha, Naja B and Sridevi along with RDS Authority Construction Limited, company doing work.
After the site inspection, officials held a meeting at Technopark where the Technopark General Manager Madhavan Praveen was also present.
During the meeting, the minister directed the relevant officials and stakeholders involved in conducting a monthly review meeting regularly to assess the progress of work and also to overcome any obstacles that could occur during work.
Kazhakootam Elevated Highway is the main infrastructure project that is expected to solve the Traffic Traffic of the Kazhakootam TI corridor.
After completion, it will be the longest highway in the state.
The highway that was elevated by four lines was 2.7 kilometers from the beginning of the CSI mission hospital in the north and ended in Junction Phase III Technopark in the south.
Each highway lane is elevated by 10.5 meters wide.
The project also involves the construction of three underpasses under the elevated highway.
The entire project is being carried out with a budget of Rs 200 Crore.
