Lucknow: In addition to the list of industrial development projects in the state, the authority of the development of the Yamuna Expressway Industry (Yeida) has decided to provide 100 acre land for at least 50 e-rickshaw manufacturers.
Yeida officials said the project, the Electric Vehicle City (EVC), will be developed in Sector 28, almost not 4 km from the airport that will come in Greater Noida.
Officials have searched for details of the manufacturer and size of the land needed by each producer.
With land allotment to interested manufacturers, the units currently in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan will shift to one place.
The manufacturer believes that once the unit shifts upwards, the facilities provided in the state under the electrical vehicle policy will help reduce the cost of e-rickshaw.
Trust Welfare of Electric Vehicle Manufacturers, who are looking for a manufacturing unit at Uttar Pradesh, said the land ration is likely to be completed within two months.
Speaking with Toi, Trust Chair, Jai Bhagwan Goel, said that since the government would provide better facilities compared to other states, producers were ready to shift their units to Uttar Pradesh.
“The manufacturing unit is not in one place.
While some in Delhi, others are in Haryana and Rajasthan.
Similarly, additions related to manufacturing e-Rickshaw are located in different places,” he said.
“If the manufacturing unit and enhancer are in one place, the cost of e-rickshaw will go down.
The maximum request for e-bects also rises.
This project will help vendors get e-rickshaws at a reasonable price,” Goel added.
The owner of the enhancer unit will also be given land according to their needs.
Speaking with Toi, Minister of State Industry Satish Mahana said the delegation of electric vehicle manufacturers had been looking for land to establish units.
“The government views other demands from producers.
This is the rotation in the last five years that industrialists come to the country to find land to regulate units,” Mahana said.
Trust has requested that the price details of the land to be allocated, if the gas line and the center of public facilities will be given, how much time will be given to start production after land allotment, and liberation in the tariff.
“List of manufacturers and land requirements will be submitted to Yeida Arun Veer Singh’s CEO in a few days,” Goel said.
Under the electric vehicle policy, the government over provides a discount of 50% of interest, which is borne by the state government.
In addition, 5% subsidies are provided for research and development, complete neglect on electrical tasks for the first 10 years, 90% rebates on GST countries, government support for Providential funds 200 employees and 50% rebates on stamp duty, among others.
