Evelyn Sharma gets hitched to Tushaan Bhindi

Evelyn Sharma tied the knot with fiancé, Dr Tushaan Bhindi, in a gorgeous country-style wedding in Brisbane, Australia on May 15.
In an exclusive chat with BT, while talking about the new phase in her life, the ‘Saaho’ actress said, “There’s no better feeling than being married to your best friend.
We’re so excited about spending our life together.”
BT reported that Evelyn had got engaged to Tushaan, an Australian-based dental surgeon in 2019, after he popped the question against a romantic backdrop — the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Back then, the actress had shared a picture of the couple kissing against the charming Sydney skyline on Instagram.
This time, too, their special moment seemed picture-perfect as they chose to marry in a scenic countryside location.
While Evelyn chose a white vintage lace gown, Tushaan donned a blue suit for the ceremony.
‘We would have loved for our family and friends from around the world to be present’With smaller weddings becoming the norm in COVID-19 times, the couple also opted for a low-key ceremony and plan to have a bigger celebration later.
Evelyn, who has films like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ to her credit, added, “We started our wedding celebrations with a legal ceremony.
Of course, we would have loved for our family and friends from around the world to be present, but we know their blessings are always with us.”
An elated Tushaan added, “We had been engaged for a year-and-half and have been planning to get married ever since, but the lockdown slowed down our plans.
In times like this, we did not want to draw a lot of attention to ourselves; we wanted to keep things simple and straightforward.
It was time to make our love and commitment official to the world.”
Unfortunately, Evelyn’s mother was unable to attend the country-style wedding in Brisbane.
“We hope we will be able to host a big wedding reception, where all our family and friends will celebrate our love with us.
For now, we are grateful for their good wishes and blessings as we pray for a better time ahead for our homeland India,” said the couple, who have been busy setting up their new home in the Australian countryside.
Last year, they even adopted a puppy, Coco.
