New Delhi: Religion usually plays a decisive role in the election of the Punjab minister.
However, in the latest example, both religion and caste have become the criteria for the leadership of the Congress to pick up Charanjit Singh Channi as the successor to Amarinder Singh.
In Channi, the trend appointed Sikh when the Punjab head minister continued until the 56th.
Not non-sikh has become CM countries in the last 55 years and trends will likely continue.
After the partition in 1947, Punjab saw a Hindu from the Congress Party, Gopi Chand Bhargav, became the first CM country.
After more than a year, he was replaced by Bhim Sen Sachar, again a Hindus belonging to Congress.
In what the unstable government, Bhargav returned to power after six months.
However, Punjab saw the first President’s government after a year in June 1951.
When the President’s government was appointed after about 10 months in April 1952, Sachar took over cm.
However, after about three and a half years, Sachar was replaced by Partap Singh Cairon.
In him, Punjab saw the first CM Sikh in January 1956, more than eight years after Indian independence.
Cairon also proved to be the first CM to complete the full term.
His ownership lasts more than eight years before he resigned in June 1964.
He was killed on February 5, 1965.
Gopi Chand Bhargaav replaced Cairon as CM for 15 days before being replaced by Ram Karyy.
A Hindu, the term of office of Ram Kiswan lasted almost two years before the Presidential Government was enacted in Punjab for the second time in July 1966.
Ram Kishan was the last Hindu to become Punjab cm.
The Presidential Regulation proved to be a turning point in Punjab’s politics.
On the same day as appointed on November 1, 1966, Haryana was made a separate state.
In Punjab cut, Giani Gurmukh Singh Perfir from Congress took over as cm.
Since then, the country has seen a dozen CMS, and everything is Sikh.
Those who replaced Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir was Gurnam Singh [Akali Dal-Sant Fateh Singh (BJS-CPI)], Lachhman Singh Gill (Punjab Janta Party), Parkash Singh Badal [Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Zail Singh (Congress)] , Zail Singh (Congress), Darbara Singh (Congress), Surjit Singh Barnal (SAD), Bealant Singh (Congress), Harcharan Singh Brar (Congress), Rajinder Kaur Bhattal (Congress) and Amarinder Singh (Congress).
Chararjit Singh Channi is the latest cm of Punjab and he is also a Sikh.
However, the difference is that he is the first Dalit to CM the country.
Congress is Tom-Tomming his castle status.
Secretary General of Congress and Head of Media Department Randeep Singh Surjewala, in Tweet on September 19 said: “Congress created a new history by appointing the first Punjab Dalit CM in Sardar Chararjit Channi.
Let the decisions will only depress out social justice and open the empowerment door New for our brothers and sisters who are used and disadvantaged in India.
“Channi’s appointment was aimed at seducing Dalit which was around 32 percent of the country’s population while around 58 percent were Sikh.
Mayawati-LED Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), especially the Panders to Dalit Vote Bank, has its origin in Punjab.
It was founded by Kashi Ram, which is Dalit.
Mayawati, who took the coat from him, also belonged to the Scheduled Castle (SC) category.
BSP has handened hands sadly for the election of upcoming assembly in Punjab which is about five months away.
While sadly led by Sikhs – Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal – Minister Delhi Arvind Kelamwal-led the AAM AAM AADMI Party (AAP) has announced that Sikh will be cm if the party is in the state.
If Congress maintains power, Channi can remain cm or he can be replaced by the President of the State Party of Navjot Singh Sidhu.
However, Sikh will lead the party government.
