New Delhi: On the commemoration of the two special abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir status, the leader of the Senior Congress P Chidambaram accused on Thursday that every aspect of “doodled” democracy on the day and Indian democratic credentials decreased in the eyes of the world.
On August 5, 2019, the Center announced the nullification of Article 370 Constitution which provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir and divided the country to the Union – Jammu and Kashmir regions, and Ladakh.
“Today (August 5) two years ago constitutional coup (PBB) was executed at J & K,” Chidambaram tweeted.
“Every aspect of democracy was tainted on that day and Indian democratic credentials decreased in the eyes of the world.
We must stand upright with J & K people,” said the former minister at home.
Four incidents of terror, protest by PDP and celebrations by BJP marked the second anniversary of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday because the opposition parties in the Kashmir valley vowed to restore the status of pre-August 2019 recovery status.
