Chandigarh: Minister of Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi and the President of the Navjot State Congress Singh Sidhu, who have not been on the same page on certain promises, on Tuesday saying they will work with each other and fight the polls who will come together, according to the MLA Party .
Both of them met during the MLA party meeting and other senior leaders to discuss the election strategy.
The meeting was held on the day of former Minister of Punjab Minister Amarinder Singh resigned from Congress and announced the name of his own political party.
The leader of the Senior Congress and Punjab affairs in Harish Chaudhary also attended a meeting where the party tried to show that there was no difference between Channi and Sidhu and that the party would fight for a shared poll.
Sidhu and Channi have not been on the same page on a particular appointment that causes anxiety between them.
“Everything is fine,” Sidhu told reporters after the meeting.
A party MLA said Sidhu and Channi said their meetings would work with each other and fight the next election together.
Previously on that day, Sidhu, Channi and Chaudhary went to Uttarakhand to offer prayers at the Kedarnath Himalayan Temple.
Congress Mla Navtej Singh Cheema said Channi and Sidhu shared their experiences about fighting the election.
In the meeting, all party leaders decided to fight with a shared poll, Cheema said, adding that the meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Chaudhary claims the Punjab voters have decided to give the congress even more seats than in 2017.
Chaudhary refused to comment when asked whether it was alarming the possibility that some leaders could be hunted by Amarinder Singh.A last days, Amarinder Singh claims that many people from Congress relate to him.
For questions about the resignation of Amarinder Singh from Congress, Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu said he had to respect the party who gave him a lot.
According to the MLA Kuldeep Vaid Party, Sidhu said the meeting was that he would go to the electoral district in running the upcoming assembly selection.
Meanwhile, Punjab Mlaas and the ministers expressed his gratitude to Channi for his decision to “the latest path” such as cutting down the power tariff and termination of the electricity purchase pact.
