Hubballi: Twin cities prepare for elections to the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Board with busy officials making the settings needed for the upcoming crowds.
Personnel from Bharat Electronics Ltd (bell), HDMC and engineers have examined the electronic voting machine (EVMS) for the last two days in Lamington School at Hubballi.HDMC Commissioner Suresh Itnal told toi that the Bel has set all EVMs after testing them.
“The machines will be submitted to the office that returns later.
A total of 1,005 EVMS has been verified, and preparation for the upcoming polls run smoothly,” said itnnal.
Nodal Sameer Mulla officers said that more than 150 personnel including engineers and civil workers were involved in the process of verifying EVS.
“A total of 25 teams worked on a lot of tables.
More than 1,500 EVM used in HDMC selection last time.
Our technical team fixes all technical disorders.
Once they really checked, we will put EVMS in a safe room,” said Mulla.
