‘EVMS to facilitate the process of Pancrayat polls in Bihar’

Patna: Academics and experts on Wednesday express satisfaction with the growth of the Raj Pancayati system in the state.
They also observed that the specific setting of Gram Kutchery had provided services that would be emulated to people living in rural areas.
Participating in the webinar on the ‘role of Panchayat in rural development’ was organized by the GR P Sinha Center for Disaster Management and Rural Development, experts praised the government’s decision to hold Pancrayat polls.
The use of electronic voting machines, they said, would alleviate the entire selection process.
Deputy Chancellor of the University of Nalanda University, Krishna Chandra Sinha, who is the main guest of the event, shows that the scheme of ‘when Nischay’ from the state government has empowered Gram Panchayats, Kutcheries, and the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Community.
Another expert, Chandrashekhar Pran, S K Singh, and Om Prakash, threw light on various aspects of the Pancayati system and urged the government to strengthen it with devolution of power.
While R P Singh Rahi, former Principal of Patna College, led the webinar, Sudhakar Jha welcomed the guests.
Sharwan Kumar introduced participants to the subject.
