LONDON: A former BBC leader who had been nominated because of his”woefully ineffective” stunt to Martin Bashir’s deception in procuring a bombshell meeting with Princess Diana on Saturday resigned as chair of Britain’s National Gallery. Journalist Bashir duped Diana into committing a 1995 BBC television interview where she raised the lid onto her troubled marriage to Prince Charles, an independent analysis concluded on Thursday.
