Mysuru: Former Head of HD Minister Kumaraswamy on Thursday showed that he could do a contest from the Chamundeshwari constituency in the next election.
“I will only come to Chamundeshwari,” he said, when party activists asked who party candidates would be in the next election.
MLA Leader, GT Devegowda, who is a member of the JD parliament and a former minister, has been closer to the Congress ahead of the assembly election of 2023.
Kumaraswamy said that to avoid family political charges, he and his wife, Anita Kumaraswamy, discussed about not losing her in the next assembly election .
“To ensure that we will not be blamed for family politics, we discuss this.
Decisions in this case will be taken after the election is announced,” he said.
“I was not interested in bringing Nikhil Kumaraswamy into politics.
However, because of the pressure from the party leaders, I took it to politics.
I will talk about myself, my wife and child.
I am separated from my brothers and I will not speak about family politics from the Deve Gowda family, “he said.
In the controversy of the hijab, he said that children from politicians from BJP or Congress were among students who were arrested.
“BJP uses this problem to hide administrative failure while Congress tries to use Muslims.
The students arrested will now face cases in the future,” he said.
