Ilyasi who’d hit the headlines for hosting the offense series’India’s Most Wanted’ on Television in the 1990s stated Gita’s universal message of encouragement and love to reach the goal prompted him to focus on this publication.
“Having read the commentaries and explanations about the Gita with a couple of Hindu and non-Hindu scholars, so I’ve concluded the bull carries messages that were contentious.
I’ve looked at it in a new perspective,” explained Ilyasi, that learnt fundamental Sanskrit in college.

“I’m a non-political man and that I search no favours.
My goal is to bring both communities together and Bhagavad Gita is a great bridge between the communities,” he explained.
