Ex-Economics Hod died at 89

Mangaluru: Former Professor and Head of the Ministry of Economics in St.
Aloysius College, Hangar Shanker Bhat, has died at his residence here on Thursday, following a brief disease.
He is 89 years old.
He survived his wife and four children.
His family has contributed his mortality to remain KS Hegde Medical Academy (Kshema) in Derlakatte.
He was recently hospitalized for about two weeks after Covid infection and sent back after he recovered.
However, his health declined in the last four days that lead to his death he committed graduation from St Aloysius College and completed his master from Rani Parvathi Devi College in Belgaum in 1956.
After his bed, he began teaching at St.
Aloysius College in 1958 in the Ministry of Economics and History.
He retired as head, the Ministry of Economy, in 1991.
During his term on St.
Aloysius College, he also served as NCC officers for around 15 years.
