Ludhiana: Former General Manager (Operations) Distillery has been ordered to falsify excise permits and continue the same as other departments who seek permission for new projects.
He also allegedly leaked the company’s confidential information to other companies, causing financial losses in the process.
The defendant has been identified as Sachin Loopa from the village of Grami Patti Samana.
In his statement to the police, Lakhwinder Singh, Director of Rich Blender and Director Distillery, Patiala, said Sachin was GM (operation) in the unit in Mullanpur Road, Hambran.
The company knew about fraud after his resignation on June 2, 2021.
Lakhwinder said the defendant had established permission from the Excise Ministry and forwarded it to another department, looking for their permission to start more projects.
The department each identified the documents false and told the company and the police.
After that, the company filed a complaint to the police.
