Bhubaneswar: Former Minister and Five Khariar Mla Duryodhan Majhi died at his residence here on Monday night.
He was 84.Cording to the family source, Majhi, who suffered from age-related illness, was taken to the hospital after his condition deteriorated.
The doctors stated he was taken dead.
Fana Majhi’s remnants were taken to their home village in Nuabada District for the last ceremony.
Majhi was elected for the State Assembly for the first time in 1990 as Janata Dal candidate.
He was chosen in a row in 1995 (Janata Dal), 2000 and 2004 (Biju Janata Dal).
In 2014, he was chosen as the Assembly as BJP MLA.
Majhi has served as a minister by holding the main portfolio such as information and public relations, the welfare of the health and welfare of the family, planning and coordination and science and technology in the Cabinet of Naveen Patnaiik during 2000 and 2009.
