Palanpur: Adesh, Professor and Head of the Department of England at the University of Gujarat Utara Hemchandracharya and Previously the Chancellor of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, was forcibly retired after the syndicate passed the resolution against him on Saturday.

Lokayukta took the case after the education department filed a formal complaint.
On October 14, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Moulik Shah wrote a letter to the University of North Gujarat to take action which resulted in a forced syndicate of retirement from November 1, 2021.
He will get post-retirement benefits according to government rules.
