Examination of Mangalore University: Registrants to fulfill DK DC today

Mangaluru: Registrar of Mangalore University (Evaluation) P L L Dharma and Registrar of Kishore Kumar C K will meet Deputy Commissioner K v Rajendra in the presence of college Union representatives on Thursday, to decide on the exam.
Bachelor’s examination that began in the last week of March, must be stopped in the middle of the KSRTC and Kuncian strike.
So far, 72% of the exam has been held.
Postgraduate examination is scheduled from April 26, and then postponed until Thursday.
On average, students may have around four papers delayed.
Meanwhile, students under Panji ABVP, held protests, urged Mangalore University to conduct an examination, which was postponed for the direction of the deputy commissioner, following a surge in Covid-19 case.
In a memorandum submitted to Deputy Chancellor Mangalore University, the students said that the majority of students who pursued undergraduate courses came from the district, and only a handful of students from Kerala.
“It is not true to postpone a sudden exam , Receiving memorandum, Representative of Chancellor P S Yadadithy said the registrants would meet with the deputy commissioner to convince him to allow the university to take a test by following the Covid-19 guidelines.
In the event that Kerala students cannot write a test because of limiting in the border area, the university will carry out special examinations for them in the coming days.
P L Dharma told TOI that the exam will be held in accordance with the UGC guidelines, and the decision will be taken on Thursday, after meeting DC.
