The advisor does not apply to Mumbai because BMC has banned “all new year celebration programs, meetings or parties in a closed or open space”.
Because of the threat of omicron, the government has suggested residents to celebrate new year’s eve at home as far as possible.
It also shows that restrictions on meetings of more than five people between 9pm and 6 am will still apply.
Advisors urge residents not to gather on the beach, parks and public roads.
