Thiruvananthapuram: Close on a large catch heel involving 1,750 liters of spirits, excise officials in Neyattinkara have made other catches from 21 liters of liquor, 10 liters of enthusiasm.
They have also made arrests in connection with catches.
The defendant has been identified as Rajesh, 32, from Maranalloor.
Mahindra Scorpio’s car where the defendant transported contraband goods was also confiscated.
According to excise officials, the catch was made by a team led by Shaju’s excise prevention officer in Perumbazhuthoor during early morning.
It was only a few hours after another team led by Inspector S Sachin made the catch of 1,750 liters of spirits from Perumbazhuthoor.
However, the defendant in both cases was not related, officials said.
They said that the defendant in this case was the perpetrators of the habits involved in many cases.
This includes cases of murder and other cases related to marijuana peddling and the smuggling of the Spirit.
He had also been arrested and imprisoned several times in connection with those cases.
