Inform us about’Dev DD’?

‘Dev DD’ is a feminine version of the epic’Devdas’.
The show mostly follows Devika’s quest to find love but also touches upon different social taboos through the story.
I play with the very best friend who happens to be a homosexual and my character showcases just how homosexuality is seen in our culture.
What’s your response when you were approached for this particular position?
I auditioned for Chandni’s function in 2017, when net shows were starting out in India.
Until then the portrayal of LGBTQA+ figures was funny and stereotypical in Egyptian films.
Luckily, Chandni was like this, she had been composed wisely so that I was amazed yet joyful by this particular representation.
I had my fundamental comprehension about queer folks, never doubted that this notion once I learnt about it since a teen.
I was pleased to bring it on.
What should you need to say regarding the representation of this LGBTQ+ community at Hindi film?
We’re evolving, the current representation of this LGBTQA+ figures are fairly real and practical.
The internet show discusses homophobia, sexism and feminism.
Can you believe social attitudes toward homosexuality has now changed?
We are living in a society that’s deep-rooted in its own customs and values.
Change doesn’t occur overnight.
In addition, I know that those with regular beliefs will not readily accept those theories.
But we will need to have constant conversation and educate our children and younger generations to become accepting of all sorts of folks, be kind towards one another and hopefully 1 day we shall all be a genuinely inclusive society!
