Jhansi: With the prestigious ‘Khel Ratan’ renamed the name Major Dhyanchand, a grand sports celebration is scheduled to take place on the 116th birthday of a hockey legend in his home city Jhansi on Sunday.
Today is celebrated as a national sports day.
With this latest developments, sports lovers once again look forward to confirming ‘Bharat Ratna’ for ‘Dadda’, as called Dhyanchand lovingly.
The friendly match was also scheduled between the Jhansi Hockey team and the Army Hockey team to be played at the Hokey Turf Stadium Dhyanchand Astro Astro.
