New Delhi: Apart from the Covid-19 Pandemic Slows the Express Express Line Express High Speed Deeper to Sub-City Dwarka, this project is expected to be operational in March next year.
Most tunneling jobs from a stretch of 1.7 km from the corridor and civil work from the underground station are almost complete.
The Underground 1.7 km will extend the Mandiri corridor from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) between the New Delhi Metro Station and Dwarka Sector-21 to Dwarka Sector-25, to link it to the upcoming Indian International Convention and Exhibition Center (IIIC) , Civil works underground stations, which appear inside the IICC complex, are almost complete.
DMRC plans to provide connectivity from the underground station to the convention center via the subway, which has been built.
The construction work of the RS 310 Crore project has begun in 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2021 but Covid-19 places spanners in DMRC work.
However, the corporation has worked on a war footing to complete the project on March 2022.
Officials said that the tunneling work was mostly finished, and the civilian work station had also finished.
DMRC now works on standard gauges tracks putting and completing other installations needed at the station.
“This will be an important extension of the airport line because IICC is expected to attract visitors from all over the world,” said an official.
DMRC also gets 24 special coaches, which will be converted into four train trainers and operated on the airport lane.
Extra trains will help DMRC maintain adequate frequency in high-speed corridors, when expanded to IICC in Dwarka Sector-25.
The coach, the DMRC obtained, is different from ordinary coaches used on the Delhi Metro network.
The train will be a standard gauge with a highest speed of 132 kmpj.
Because DMRC will use additional trains on the airport track with this commissioning extension, the corporation will build three additional defilements in the Dwarka Depot.
Apart from a special coach, DMRC also plans to involve the company because it provides train control and a stretch signaling system.
At present, the Express Line airport connects the New Delhi station to the Dwarka Sector-21 station with four stations among the Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Aerocity Delhi and IGI Airport (Terminal 3).
IICC from Dwarka will be his first facility in West Delhi.
This center will be on the Pragati Maidan and India Habitat Center route.
The sophisticated center will be able to host large-scale seminars, conventions and exhibitions.
DMRC was asked to extend the airport line to the Cum-Convention Exhibition Convention Center to provide high-speed connectivity.
