Bhubaneswar: To examine the possibility of the spread of Covid-19 during the upcoming celebration season, the state government on Thursday rather tighten the sidewalk, especially for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, for October.
Twin cities will remain under an extended night yurfews from 8pm to 5 in the morning for 10 days from October 11 during Dussehra, while it will start at 10pm to 5 in the morning for other cities as in September .
In other days in October, twin cities will also be under night from 10pm to 5 in the morning like other countries.
While the government has banned the sale and use of firecrackers throughout the state for the entire duration this month, it has ratified the district and city administration to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to places of worship depending on local conditions.
Announcing new guidelines, Special Assistance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena said the state could not be loose during the celebration season after the fact that the festival celebration that was not limited in many places had resulted in spurts in covid cases there.
“A large number of cases reported in Kerala after Onam.
This center has also warned people to any compromise in the appropriate behavior of Covid which leads to increases in the case,” he added.
Jena also appealed to people not to wage public places during the celebration season and to continue to wear masks, wash hands often and maintain a safe physical distance from others.
The government said the religious and celebration festivals would be regulated by the order of August 9, which meant that the celebration would include ritual performance without the participation of worshipers, while the height of the durga idol should not be more than four meters.
The September sidewalk on the wedding will continue.
While a maximum of 250 people can attend a wedding, hats on the guests in the wedding process will continue to remain 50 and the host must get the necessary permits from the local authority for the same thing.
Government sources say additional restrictions for Cuttack and Bhubaneswar have been stored given the fact that the city of Twin is the largest urban conglomerate, which attracts many people during Dussehra.
In addition, Covid cases in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack remain relatively higher than other parts of the country.
More than 55% of the total active case (2,813 of 5,083) comes from the Khurda (which Bhubaneswar is part) and cuttack.
Meanwhile, the state reported six more Covid deaths, taking dead to 8,198.
Overall 602 is more positive for viruses.
