Experts: The third covid wave has not reached its peak in Bihar

Patna: Because the country witnessed some decrease in Covid-19 cases, the third wave of Coronavirus had not reached its peak, claimed health experts.
Doctors who care for Covid patients with other medical experts assert that the number of declining cases can be associated with a decrease in the number of tests in various hospitals and pathological laboratories.
With most people infected with Omicron variants, the number of patients seriously decreased significantly and very few people were being tested for Covid, they said.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences-Patna (AIIMS-P) Nodal for Covid-19 Dr.
Sanjeev Kumar said that the number of people who came for tests in hospitals has declined significantly over the past few days.
“Previously, 5,000 to 6,000 people were tested at AIIMS-P every day, but the number decreased to 1,700 or more.
As a result, the number of positive cases reported in the hospital has declined, but that does not mean that the Covid case decreases,” Kumar said and claimed that the number of active Covid cases still increases and the third wave peak is not yet achieved.
“It’s still too early to predict the end of the third wave.
It’s likely to reach its peak between 22 and 30 January and then, it will start from the highlands in the state,” he added.
Dr.
Satish Kumar from Nalanda Medical College and Hospital showed that most patients covid-19 asymptomatic and healed even without visiting a doctor.
Because the number of tests has decreased and the contact contacts almost stop, all positive cases are not revealed.
“Even if one family member is found positive, all other members must be positive if they are tested correctly.
However, in some cases, they do not enter for each test and take the medication themselves,” said the doctor, added that the third wave would likely reach its peak in Seven to ten days ahead.
“People must maintain a Covid safety protocol because any relaxation will only add to the people’s misery,” he added.
The President of the Indian Medical Association of Dr.
Ajay Kumar observed that with the existing situation, when active cases still rise in various parts of the country, it is very difficult to say when the third wave will get its peak.
“The Ministry of Health must continue to restrictions and people may not be allowed to gather in public places until Covid cases completely subside,” the President said.
According to the pediatrician Dr.
Arun Shah, the third wave of Coronavirus will reach its peak after two to three weeks because the level of participation in several countries is still as high as 16%.
In addition, the Delta variant still infects the people, complicating a scenario significantly.
He, however, expressed hope that the wave would start the plateau in February and it would end in March.
“If there are some Covid case decreases, people should not be complacent and continue to hold on to all safety guidelines,” Shah said and emphasized the rapid vaccination of young people and children of all ages.
